Aneesh Chavan is a first-year Ph.D. Student in Computer Science at the University of Virginia. His research interests lie in empowering localization and task planning systems with semantic information, bridging the gap between long-term task planning and VLA-based policies.
Aneesh holds a dual degree M.S. and B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering by Research from the International Institute of Information Technology - Hyderabad (IIIT-H). During his dual degree, he spent three years at the Robotics Research Centre at IIIT-H advised by Dr. Madhava Krishna, working on object based localization and object re-identification.
